Couple Pop Tak Masuk Radio album release party
Less than 11 months after their very well received 2nd album “Teenage Disc Fantastic”, underground sensations Couple are now back with another album, their 3rd studio album and first to be wholly in Malay, titled “Pop Tak Masuk Radio”, already on sale by hand at their gigs from 14th November 2009.
Mixed and mastered by Indonesian indie rock favourite J Vanco (who’s done albums by Efek Rumah Kaca, Sore, Vox, Annemarie and loads more), Couple has set out to valiantly prove that there’s more to Malay language indie rock than what’s already out there on the radio.
Again doing things the DIY way by organising their own album launch party on 19th December 2009 at One Café, Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman, Chow Kit (same row as Tune Hotel), the first 500 people to get in will get their latest album, “Pop Tak Masuk Radio”, for free.
Reflecting the varied and eclectic nature of their latest album is the lineup of guest bands scheduled to also perform at the said launch party:
- Pesawat (radio conquering britrock sensations)
- Sugar Love Cookies (indie pop-yeh-yeh upstart hitmakers)
- Tenderfist (classy indie rock that Pitchfork would approve)
- Firasah (Malaysian Metal Kapak commandos)
Pop Tak Masuk Radio the gig is set to prick up your ears to the many sounds and choices out there in the Malaysian musical landscape.
So do come along, open up your hearts and ears, and bring along your dancing shoes and a few extra bucks with you, and experience the bliss that is “Pop Tak Masuk Radio”.
